Management Team

Richard L. Van Kirk joined Pro-Dex’s Board of Directors when he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2015. He joined Pro-Dex in January 2006 and was named Pro-Dex’s Vice President of Manufacturing in December 2006. In April 2013 he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Van Kirk’s career includes over 13 years of management experience in manufacturing. Mr. Van Kirk previously served as Manufacturing Manager and Manager of Product Development at Comarco Wireless Technologies, ChargeSource Division, which provides power and charging functionality for popular electronic devices and wireless accessories. Prior to Comarco, Mr. Van Kirk was General Manager at Dynacast, a leader in precision die casting. Mr. Van Kirk earned a BA in Business Administration at California State University, Fullerton and an MBA from Claremont Graduate School.

Alisha Charlton joined the Company in January 2014 as Senior Director of Finance and was promoted to her role as Chief Financial Officer in January 2015. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Charlton held various accounting positions at Comarco, Inc. from October 2000 to January 2014 culminating in her appointment as Chief Accounting Officer in April 2011. Prior to her 13 year tenure at Comarco, Ms. Charlton held various accounting and finance positions with CKE Restaurants, Inc. from February, 1995 to October 2000. Ms. Charlton began her career in July 1991 with KPMG Peat Marwick (now KPMG LLP) and was formerly a certified public accountant. Ms. Charlton holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a CPA license (inactive) from the California State Board of Accountancy.

Ms. Angel Domingo joined Pro-Dex’s Board of Directors in December 2021. She has served as our Director of Quality Systems and Regulatory Affairs since 2014 and joined the company in 2005. Her responsibilities include ensuring the company’s products and Quality Management Systems meet industry, regulatory and customer requirements through the device lifecycle. This encompasses compliance requirements of local, state, federal and OuS authorities. Angel holds a BS in Biology/Human Physiology and a Chemistry minor from California State University, Long Beach. Angel has extensive MedTech industry experience inclusive of Medical Device, In Vitro Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals, and Bulk Pharm/Chemicals.

Daniel Santos rejoined the Company in early 2020 as the Director of Research and Development and in 2021, his role expanded as he took over Business Development.  Mr. Santos’s career includes over 19 years of design, development, and manufacturing experience, of which over 18 years have been in the medical device industry. Before rejoining Pro-Dex, Mr. Santos was the Director of Research and Development at Hologic, a company focused on breakthrough diagnostics and medical imaging solutions. He has also held technical and leadership roles at Pro-Dex and Danaher in the past. Mr. Santos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Chris Jackson joined Pro-Dex as the Director of Operations in April of 2023. Prior to joining Pro-Dex Chris spent most of his career in the Aerospace sector. Most recently, Chris was Director of Operations and Supply Chain at Safran located here in Orange County. Chris received his undergrad in Psychology and his MBA from Mount Mercy University located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In his free time Chris enjoys spending time with his family, specifically at Disney, with his wife Steph and four children, Adleigh, Amaya, Rylynn, and Rowan.

Jorge Cuervo joined the Pro-Dex in October 2023 as the Director of the Project Management Office, bringing with him a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in Operations, Project Management, Lean Facilitation, Sales, and Consulting across North America, Europe, and Asia. Jorge's most recent role involved leading the PMO and Operations teams at a sector of Bio-Techne. He has garnered recognition for his outstanding contributions to Business Operations. His achievements include winning a prestigious silver medal Shingo Award for Manufacturing at the state level. Notably, he successfully transformed two facilities from negative balance sheets to positive, showcasing his exceptional strategic acumen. His expertise extends beyond Business Operations, earning numerous top sales awards. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University and the AIB International Institute in Germany, Mr. Cuervo holds a BA in Business Management. His commitment to excellence is further exemplified by his Lean Certification, highlighting his dedication to continuous improvement.
