Pro-Dex,
Inc. Names Gary G. Garleb Divisional President of Oregon Micro Systems, Inc.
SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 6, 2002--Pro-Dex,
Inc. (Nasdaq:
PDEX - news)
today announced the appointment of Gary G. Garleb as
Divisional President of the Company's Oregon Micro Systems,
Inc. division.
Ronald G. Coss, Chairman of Pro-Dex stated, ``When we
acquired Oregon Micro Systems in 1995, Gary was put in charge
of what was then essentially a one man operation with limited
technology. He has developed a well managed company with new
technology to lead us into what we believe is a coming era of
rapid growth in our core competencies in sophisticated motion
control.''
Gary G. Garleb, 60, joined Oregon Micro Systems in July
1995 as Vice President and General Manager of the division.
From 1974 - 1995 he served in several senior level positions
including, Vice President of Manufacturing, Vice President of
Operations and General Manager of Pro-Dex's Micro Motors
division, Santa Ana, California. Previously, he was employed
in various capacities by Kaiser Aerospace and Electronics,
Whittaker Corporation and Fulton Iron Works.
Mr. Garleb stated, ``During this recession OMS is investing
heavily in R&D and our channels to market. March 2002 will
mark a new era for OMS as it introduces its new ''MAX`` family
of Servo and Stepper motion controllers. These new products
are revolutionary in design concept and performance and will
enable OMS to breach the $260M Servo controller market.''
Mr. Garleb continued, ``During this fiscal year, OMS is
also strengthening its channels to market. OMS' High
Technology Distributors (HTDs) are being consolidated into key
performers. Resources will be invested into these
distributors, ensuring OMS' products are brought to our
customers and potential customers with a timely and
professional presentation.''
Mr. Garleb concluded, ``OMS has enjoyed a long and
successful history serving the Stepper controller markets. The
company feels that with its new product lines, which are
adaptable to a broader range of applications, and streamlining
of our HTD's channels to market we can double our revenues
over the next five years.''
